Research music magazines

The music magazine I have analysed is a B&S magazine featuring Rita Ora, I have analysed the magazine and identified the main features that most magazines contain i.e. the mast head, main image, bar coding and house colours. this image already stands out to all viewers straight away because the house colours allow Rita to stand out. the third left is very obvious for buyers if they cannot see the rest of the magazine. Rita in this picture has a type of swag in this picture with her hand on her hip, the chain round her neck and also the beanie hat. This type of magazine has helped me a lot with idea that I can use when creating my magazine as I am now able to think of costume', backgrounds and also the posture of how they will be presented.

Here I have analysed a music magazine, I have addressed such things on the cover such as the mast head, the main cover line, some anchorage, house colours, a pug and also direct address. I feel as if the house colours have brought out the main image as it allows the direct address he presents to come across strong. the close up on his face allows us to see his emotions; the mast head and cover lines and anchorage presents the colour red which symbolises danger and seriousness, therefore with the text and image it suggests he is very serious. The black and white effect really brings out the main image with the white background as it allows us as the viewer to look into his eyes which makes us feel more engaged.

From this exercise I have had a photo taken of me then uploaded to the school learning drive from which I have accessed and edited. I have also imported a sign which says stacs with my picture to make it look more professional. From this exercise I have cropped the photo so that it is in line with my chest and also changed the colour and effects of my original picture so that it stands out more.
